HITSA-SAFE Special

HITSA SAFE Special products provide scope for protecting against vehicle-based threats, while creating friendly and welcoming urban spaces for tourists and locals.

The security construction inside HITSA SAFE Special products can be concealed by a ball, a sculpture or something completely different. The core construction takes care of the security aspect, while giving the architect or designer the flexibility to adapt the outer appearance to fit the surroundings.

One example can be seen in front of the amusement park Tivoli Friheden in Aarhus, where the forecourt is protected by balls from the HITSA-SAFE range. The balls are made from concrete and match the playful look of the entrance. Concrete is an obvious material choice for HITSA-SAFE Special products, since, for one thing, it can be supplied in a wide range of colours and finishes.

Anti-terrorist protection with added value

HITSA-SAFE Special products are part of our HITSA-SAFE range, which comprises familiar urban furniture designed to prevent vehicle intrusions. The construction has been designed to withstand a collision and stop the vehicle in question.

In addition to custom-design products, the range includes bollards and bicycle racks. We have focused on developing physical protection products that also serve an additional useful, practical purpose in the urban landscape.

With HITSA-SAFE it is possible to protect streets and squares effectively, while ensuring urban spaces feel safe, familiar and well designed. HITSA-SAFE bicycle racks and HITSA-SAFE bollards are available concealed within some of our standard products, so that they can match up with a particular urban or corporate design concept.

The custom-design option from HITSA-SAFE, Special, expands the scope for adding a touch of character to outdoor spaces. It allows for creation of specific landscape architecture to fit the location.

HITSA-SAFE Special products can naturally be combined with HITSA-SAFE bicycle racks and bollards as well as the HITSA-SAFE bench and litter bin in standard designs.

HITSA-SAFE products are designed so that they can be unlocked and removed to allow occasional vehicle access. HITSA-SAFE Special products can also be made removable.

Hostile vehicle mitigation with PAS 68 and IWA 14 certification

The internal construction of the HITSA-SAFE range has been certified according to the international PAS 68 and IWA 14 crash-test standards.

HITSA-SAFE Special products are ideal for city centres, pedestrian zones and other areas, where there is a need for protection against vehicles. They can also be used in front of buildings or facilities that consider themselves to be at risk. This could be shops, hotels, tourist attractions or sports venues, for instance.
